Summer's Bounty

I desperately wanted to plant a garden of some sort this year. I still do.

But I have so many reasons excuses and it just hasn't happened. But one of my favorite little blessings of ministering in a country church is that there are wonderful people who don't have excuses and actually have a garden that helps sustain their families....and mine.

We got fresh picked, beautiful squash from two parishioners this week. Sammy joked, "Linda, I want squash for supper tomorrow night!"

Squash it is. Oh, yes.
