On The Bedside Table

What to read has been a quandary for me lately. I've started a lot of things, but I can't seem to get into any of them. It's so disheartening to start a book and not feel at home in it.

I had 6 books on my bedside table this morning. (Plus a Kindle.) But, I've decided to replace them all with just one.

Yes, I'm going to read through a Bible storybook meant for children.

If I can't get my heart around "grown up" things, maybe it's time to simplify. 

This book and its stories are incredibly special. 

I think I need it. A simple, uplifting message of God's love. 

To restore wonder, bring peace, renew faith, and grow love in my needy heart.

And it's signed by the author, that's always nice!
